The finishing touches are being put to Infinité, Bedfordview’s stylish new high-rise residential development which has risen out the ground opposite Eastgate shopping centre.

“Following a rapid sell-out of all 100 units in phase one, now only 15 apartments are still available for sale in the second and final phase of a further 100 units in this 10-storey residential development, Occupation is expected in March 2019,” says Nelson Ferreira, Pam Golding Properties area principal for Johannesburg East.

“The uptake of the sectional title units in Infinité has remained brisk, despite the economic slowdown. As a suburb and residential destination, Bedfordview is consistently in demand among home buyers, arguably more so than other nearby areas.”

The remaining units comprise 13 two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments priced from R2.2 million to R2.8m, and two penthouses with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, each with a private rooftop terrace and garden with panoramic views across Johannesburg, priced between R5.3m and R5.7m. All the one-bedroom apartments have already been sold.

“Infinité has 20 penthouses and the other 18 were among the first units snapped up by buyers who will mainly be using the luxury apartments as their primary residences,” says Ferreira.

Each unit in the building includes a fridge, a freezer, a gas hob, an electric oven, a convection hood, a dishwasher, a washing machine and quality finishes including hansgrohe fittings. There are three basement levels of parking bays for residents and visitors, a swimming pool, a clubhouse, a gym, a lobby with a concierge and two meeting rooms.

Says Ferreira: “Buyers to date are a mix from South Africa, the rest of Africa and overseas including Abu Dhabi and Portugal.

“Many local buyers are moving from spacious homes with gardens and all the maintenance and other costs associated with owning freehold property, after their children have left home. Apart from these and other lock-up-and-go benefits, they are also attracted by the security features offered by Infinité.

“It’s evident that this new development has become a catalyst for new development in Bedfordview, as at least six developers are now showing interest in future residential developments, which underlines the appeal of this as a highly sought after area and bodes well for the residential property market, including rentals.”
