All 51 two-bedroom apartments have been sold in Asrin Property Developers’s new Fernwood block in Ottery – before the launch.

“Demand for these units was remarkable, attracting high levels of interest through word of mouth and all the units were sold before we even launched the development,” says Rehana Moosa, Asrin marketing executive.

The civil works team is scheduled to move onto the site in August and construction is due to commence in September. The anticipated completion date is mid-2020.

The apartments, priced from R875 000 including VAT and transfer costs, will be built in four blocks.

Moosa says the apartments are ideal for first-time buyers or prudent investors looking for great returns.

Highlighting just some of Fernwood’s advantages, Moosa says the development is superbly located in one of the most sought-after areas close to some of the best schools, shops and leisure attractions in this part of Cape Town and is 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. Fernwood is close to the Royal Cape Golf Club and just a short drive from Cape Town’s central business district.

“Fernwood combines affordability, comfort and convenience within a secure village environment with neatly landscaped open spaces. And each apartment is finished to the very highest standards.”

Apartments on the first and second floors range in size from 59m2 to 62m2, which includes a balcony. Sizes for ground floor units range from 55m2 58m2 and have generous exclusive use garden areas.

Finishes include engineered stone kitchen countertops, ceramic tiles and laminated flooring, and anodised aluminium windows and sliding door frames. Ovens, hobs and extractor hoods are fitted as standard and the units will be Wi-Fi- and DStv-enabled. Security features include electric fencing and an access controlled entrance with a guardhouse.

Fernwood’s design also takes account of people’s growing environmental awareness by incorporating a number of green features, such as photo voltaic (PV) solar panel geysers, which are designed to cut utility bills by reducing electricity consumption and minimising the estate’s overall environmental footprint.
