Tim Irvine of Faircape Property Developers, Kevin Aron and Pieter Dorfling of Medscheme and Andrew Kendall of Eris Property Group.
Medscheme, one of the largest medical scheme administrators and health risk management companies in South Africa has secured 10 000m² in the new R700 million-plus Boulevard Office Park development in Woodstock on the Eastern Boulevard.
Eris Property Group (formerly RMB Properties) concluded the transaction with an approximate capital value of R165 million.
The 38 000m² AAA Grade office park was developed by The Boulevard Park Trust, which included Faircape Property Developers and Trematon, with finance from Nedbank Corporate Property Finance (Cape). The development consists of seven individual buildings – three of which were designed by dhk architects and four by Peerutin Architects. The elevated site on the Eastern Boulevard ensures magnificent mountain, sea and city views as well as convenient access.
Andrew Kendall of Eris Property Group who negotiated the deal says the move by Medscheme to The Boulevard was based on its current and long term growth and expansion plans as well as the fact that The Boulevard, apart from the convenient location, offers large floor plates of 3 500m², parking facilities catering for six bays per 100m², state-of-the-art security and a convenient shuttle service to and from Woodstock station.
