Sitari Country Estate just outside Somerset West is now ranked one of the fastest selling large-scale estates in the Western Cape, according to Claudius Combrinck, executive director of Uvest Property Sales, the on-site estate agency.

“In the 56 months from its inception in August 2014 until the end of April 2019, sales at Sitari Country Estate have totalled R1 306 595 221. Sitari continues to grow and develop briskly,” says Combrinck.

“There are now around 1 200 people living in Sitari, in 185 homes and 356 sectional title apartments that have been completed. Seventy-two sets of plans have been submitted to our architectural review committee since the beginning of 2019. There are between 800 and 1 000 people working on the estate every day, and 15 accredited building contractors across the site.

“In 2018 we sold 161 properties worth R301 million. This was our second-best year for sales by rand value. Sales at the estate averaged just under 14 properties a month from January to December 2018, which includes plots, homes and apartments. This year has been no different, despite being an election year, and we recorded R26,785m in sales during April 2019.

“Homes are priced from under R3m and apartments typically ranging from R1.5m to R2.5m. The estate is steadily maturing, and the shopping centre with close to 40 retail tenants is under construction and set to open by the end of 2019. In addition, our retirement village, Evergreen Sitari, is in its final design stages and will also be released during this year.

“We believe that towards the end of 2019 and entering 2020 Sitari will become even more desirable, with more homes and apartments being completed and more residents moving in.”
