MSP Developments’ chief executive, Riaan Roos has announced a special festive season deal for buyers of apartments in MSP’s Buh-Rein Estate in Kuils River, and buyers of apartments or houses in Belladonna Estate in Blue Downs.

Anyone who signs up to buy into these two developments before January 31 will receive full packages of various major appliances. To make things extra special, MSP has also made available a no deposit down offer until January 31 for Belladonna Estate.

MSP has built more than 4 000 homes since 2001 and is busy with Buh-Rein Estate, one of the largest private developments in the Western Cape, consisting of 3 511 apartments, townhouses and houses, as well as three affordable housing developments in Blue Downs – including Belladonna Estate, with 740 homes and apartments – and a number of other Western Cape developments.

Roos says that during this time of year people need to think extra carefully about how they spend their bonuses.

“If you get an end-of-year bonus of R10 000, this could serve as your deposit on a brand new apartment. Then less than 12 months from now, you could be sitting with the ultimate gift to yourself – a property of your own, knowing that it probably increased in value while it was still being built. This is worth much more in the long run than blowing your cash on items that lose value or go out of fashion.”

Buyers who sign up for a house in Belladonna (priced from R399 000) before January 31, will receive the house package of a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a kitchen clock, a toaster, a cordless kettle, an iron, and a DSTV dish and decoder plus installation. Those who buy an apartment in Belladonna (priced from R279 900) will receive the apartment bundle which includes all of the above apart from the DSTV dish and decoder.

For buyers of apartments in Buh-Rein (priced from R469 900) there are three packages to choose from: the starter package: fridge/freezer, blinds on all windows, a microwave, a kitchen clock, a toaster, a cordless kettle and an iron; the multimedia package: a plasma TV (32 inch), a surround-sound system, and a DSTV decoder; and the investor package: Samsung Radianz stone kitchen countertops, and blinds on all windows.

So where did the money come from to pay for these offers? Roos says MSP has used some of its marketing funds to buy these appliances.

“We have not adjusted the pricing on Belladonna or Buh-Rein Estate units to pay for them. We are giving these appliances free of charge, and that’s our promise – but only to the people who buy before January 31.

“We are doing this to generate even more interest in these already popular estates, but also because we are aware of the fact that buying a house is a big expense that doesn’t leave much room for new furniture or appliances. We believe this offer will attract a lot of interest – and we know that we are the only developers offering such a special deal.”

Roos says that on apartments in Buh-Rein Estate, for example, the deposit required is R10 000.

“Compare the value you can reap for putting that money down – plus the free gifts that we are throwing in – compared to simply buying random gifts that depreciate in value and lose their appeal. Financial discipline is key during the festive months – it could be the difference between making sound long-term sensible decisions or wasting money on unnecessary items and getting into debt.”
