A new student accommodation development in Observatory, Cape Town is set to be ready for the 2019 student intake.

My Domain Observatory is the latest addition to the My Domain Brand for designer student accommodation, developed by Swish Property Group.

“The complex is accessible to all major colleges, the city and other social spots,” says Angelo Lanfranchi, director for student accommodation at Swish.

“The new Observatory accommodation has a strong focus on student lifestyle and all of the areas have been created to foster student interactions. The non-sharing one and two-bedroom units with Juliet balconies provide students with the college experience while still having the comfort of their own apartment.”

While engagement among students is key at My Domain, he says the brand still prioritises academic success and provides residents with quiet study areas, free uncapped Wi-Fi, rooms equipped with shelves, desks and chairs and a free shuttle sprinter that connects students to university transport, public transport and key drop off zones.

Water and electricity is included in the rentals, which range from R6 800 a month for a classic studio apartment for 12 months, to R18 600 for a deluxe two-bedroom unit for 10 months.

Key features of the Observatory My Domain development include:

  • A rooftop outdoor gym, pool and braai pods.
  • An indoor gym facility, a run club and a boot camp.
  • Five a side soccer pitch.
  • Internet cafe pods.
  • Social rooms with games, relaxed seating and flat screen TVs.
  • Canteen and coffee bar
  • Free wi-fi
  • Laundry facility
  • Access controlled parking, biometric access to the building and rooms and 24/7 security.
