Seeff Properties’ southern suburbs branch and Upton Properties are marketing Taranga, a Newlands development that will overlook the historic residence of the French Ambassador and San Souci Girls School’s playing fields.

Taranga will consist of 21 north-facing apartments for occupation in the last quarter of 2010, says Seeff Southern Suburbs licensee Andy Todd.

“Taranga is within walking distance of restaurants such as Wijynhuis and Cassis, and close to Cavendish Square and the Dean Street Arcade, Newlands cricket and rugby stadiums, the Vineyard hotel and the University of Cape Town, as well as about 15 minutes drive from the Cape Town CBD,” he says.

The complex is being developed by Monarc, which has already completed three gated estates in Newlands, various projects in Claremont and Hout Bay and some free standing homes.

“Taranga offers a real lock up and go lifestyle,” says Todd. “There is full perimeter security with permanently manned and access control with each unit having an individual alarm system. The complex also has a swimming pool.”

Prices start at R1.995 million.
