Having recently been granted rights to build additional units on a vacant piece of land at Nieuwe Steenberg, developer Simon Waner of Warner Projects has announced that a new phase of the luxurious R200 million development is to go ahead.

Eight new units are planned, bringing the total number of units in the development to 30. Units in the new phase are priced from R3.5 million plus VAT for 180 m2 and up. No transfer duty is payable.

Located beneath the Steenberg and Constantiaberg mountains, on an elevated site with gentle slopes, Nieuwe Steenberg has been designed by dhk Architects.

“The design offers a functional balance between the traditional Cape vernacular and contemporary sophistication,” says dhk director, Peter Fehrsen.

Warner says energy conservation measures are standard in all the Nieuwe Steenberg homes. Features include high specification insulation materials incorporated into the brickwork, concrete and roof spaces, low energy lighting, gas hobs and a heat pump plus solar panel option, either off plan or retrofitted.

A total of 12 units at Nieuwe Steenberg are for sale through Greeff Properties.

A newly completed furnished unit will be on show from 10am to 5pm today(10 Dec) and tomorrow.
