Artist’s impression of The Vines, a new development at Val de Vie near Franschhoek.
Luxury homes at Val de Vie Wine and Polo Estate between Paarl and Franschhoek are priced in the upper millions, but the development of The Vines on Val de Vie offers a more affordable alternative with entry level homes priced from R1.995 million, says Seeff Val de Vie manager, Peter Wagenaar.
“The architecture incorporates elements of French Provencal and Cape Vernacular, and homes are being built at the edge of two contoured dams and bordering the vineyards. Selling off plan, the three to four bedroom homes range in size from 178m2 to 218m2 on plots of up to 400m2. Buyers and investors have a choice of three variations that offer added extras.”
Finishes include Hansgrohe taps, Caesarstone stone counter tops, porcelain tiles and Eurogas ovens, hobs and extractors, and gardens are landscaped. Buyers can choose from added extras such as air-conditioning and under-floor heating as well a central vacuum system. Other added features include gas fireplaces, multi-room audio systems and 50-inch plasma televisions. Buyers of the luxury packages will also get three years of pre-paid estate levies and one year’s garden maintenance. Wagenaar says the price includes VAT and no transfer duty is payable.
“The Val de Vie Estate has the Paarl and Franschhoek mountains as a backdrop. The estate is 40-minutes’ drive from Cape Town and the airport. There are also a number of top schools nearby as well as shopping centres and medical facilities.
“The estate is secure with controlled access. Facilities include a gym, tennis and squash courts, a 25m heated indoor swimming pool and the Ryk Neethling Swim School.”
