The local cricket side plays a match at the newly upgraded Rondebosch Sports Club.
Rawson Developers have launched the Rondebosch Oval a new luxury development adjoining Rondebosch Sports Club.
A total of 41 townhouses are envisaged, priced from R6.95 million to R10.7m, says Rawson Developers managing director Carl Nortje.
“Large freestanding erfs are a luxury and pose a responsibility that fewer people are able to consider these days. Instead, buyers are looking for the latest in comfort, easy access to work, play and shop – all with security that is there when needed but does not intrude.”
He says Rawsons acquired a well known site close to Rondebosch Common some time ago and subsequently had its redevelopment plans approved by the City.
“Because the property was never developed beyond the existing Rondebosch Sports Club, it was agreed that this club with its first division cricket side and bowling club, should continue and be upgraded to modern standards, including a new clubhouse, a gym and a swimming pool. The cricket pitch also will also be upgraded and looked after by the Oval’s landscaping and gardening staff,” says Nortje.
He says residents at Rondebosch Oval will also enjoy membership of the Rondebosch Sports Club with its enhanced facilities.
“Green features are built into Rondebosch Oval to minimise water and energy usage and reduce operating costs. Security features include cameras, manned gates and foot patrols.”
